What is wrong with my Jeep Cherokee 2.5? Oil is leaking from the top of my engine. What should I do?
The oil leak seems occur at the top of the engine, not the bottom. the oil pan is intact but the oil is leaking from the top. What could be the problem and can anyone suggest me a solution? I tried to open the valve cover and I've pasted the Board along with the tail, but without success. I appreciate your time and help. thanks.
I get a new valve cover gasket and the new, use a paper thin amount of RTV gasket sealant. Just put the sealant on the (very clean) cover valve, do not put any sealer on the head itself, just make sure it is clean and dry. Also check your PVC valve (on top of the valve cover) and make sure that there is a leak.
