What is a good lift kit for 97 ford explorer?

I have a ford explorer 97 and wants to raise. Is this something I can do myself? Where can I get the kits? if there is something you can do for myself Where do I go for and what is the normal price range?

Honestly, these are not the most stable vehicles without a lift kit for the average driver. While I suppose you're better than the average driver, this will hamper their ability control the truck safely. There are many of these same people who roll easily without one of these installed. While many would argue that it easier to lift to leave four wheels, you also open to liability on the road. You are already higher bumpers than most passenger cars on the road.
