Anyone done a lot of hatching of eggs?

I was 40 pheasant eggs in my incubator, all placed in the same time. a long story short 15 infants within 12 hours of each other right in cluster hours were sterile (sounded in liquid) and had about ten left that feels solid, but 2 days later still no there are babies or pips peers, nothing. So I took them out and broke 2 open. Both held LIVE chicks developed one with the tips of little one with almost none in his case to the left. However there were still some blood vessels in the membranes. We tried to save them, but they do not breath it seems. We put the remaining eggs again in the incubator. I was born many eggs before and has never happened. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
