Briggs & Stratton 18hp – will not start when warm?
I have a 18 Hp Briggs & Stratton twin-cylinder in my mower. What to large Cold fire. If I use that for a while 20/minutes or more, will not start until it cools down again. I have replaced the magneto and connectors – same deal. Isolated the fuel line of fire, put a heat shield in the bowl of carbs. When spitting is to heat the fuel to some carbohydrates – but not defeating. Any ideas out there??? This site is priceless!
Have you checked the float in the carb bowl and needle valve regulates the flow fuel in the carb bowl? If the needle valve is used then it turns off the fuel when the float is up and the overflow will flow into the engine.
