I can start my chainsaw?

38Cc I have a gas chain saw, not started, it was working fine when yeasterday was cutting a tree, but ran out of gas today, I miss a backup with the old gas, (it has been sitting in the basement for 1 year and not start what is the problem? is the gas? I took over 100 times and did not start

It's a bad idea to use old gas in the chainsaw. If the gas combustion is not going to build efficient pressure inside the cylinder and possibly stroke of the piston rings. Check your spark plug or change the spark plug is a better idea, put gas in oil in the proportion adequate and try again. Not a bad idea to run some carburetor cleaner is through the chainsaw while wearing it. Good luck
