Any advice to move the alternator to the drive shaft to the load?
I have a Chevy S10 and want to get more horse power. I wondered if anyone has any idea of moving the alternator so that the drive shaft (running in either case) the alternator re-charge the battery. It is the idea my husband. He likes to think of different things you can do! The truck already has an amazing amount of energy, I still say leave him alone! The person Swaping answered on a larger V8 – is not always better, just more weight! Thank you all for responding so far!
The only way (not axis unit) to remove the alternator when power is required is to put a switch on the output of the ALT. When you want to go, turn the switch off. To drive normally to charge the battery and turn it back on.
