Tractor clutch plate or another?
1981 Ford 1900 w / Loader. The tractor worked hard all day, was in the clutch more than normal …. Trouble began in the last load of the day! When you press the clutch, if you are running or start it, there is a crash and strong vibrations. When you release the clutch and stops the vibration and noise of the tractor works well in all gears. Clutch and not on the fly, or clutch and gait, no vibration or noise … Any way to diagnose w / out spltting the tractor?
sounds more like a throw-bearing. look and see if there is an access cover on the wheel. if you take it off and see to see if you can pull the bearing grease. that may help some, but it sounds like to me your going to get really good at splitting a tractor. U if broken, replace the t / o bearing and pilot bearing. have turned the wheel and try to get a pressure plate row. It's a pain in the butt to split a tractor …. Why twice? fun, Possum
