Is it difficult to replace the exhaust manifold bolts in a Dodge Durango 2004?
My Durango is underway, and research I have done, seems that usually break one or more of the multiple robots escape. I have the 4.7 not the Hemi. How difficult is it to fix? Furthermore, the Durango is about 400 miles apart – The wife is visiting family. Is it okay to drive home, or is this going to be a problem?
First, sufficient pop in the hood and take a peak if you do not see any cracks / damage or feel loose screws, then obviously you should be fine to go home without anything popping off, but you could have a totally different issue if we are talking about "ticking" sounds. Anyway, when i get home, buying a torque wrench and make sure they are on the correct specification for tightness. If you want to go ahead and replace it anyway, I would suggest getting a tap or die and clean the threads screw hole before installing the screws again, then use the torque wrench for proper voltage.
