Can I use my old manual lens on a digital SLR camera?
I am thinking of buying a Canon SLR camera to late … none of my old manual SLR lens "to be compatible with digital SLRs that are made today? Please direct fit, can I buy an attachment? It seems a waste not to use the macro, telephoto, wide angle anymore.
I suppose you have generation FD manual focus lenses. If want to use them, you will need an FD to EOS adapter. For Canon digital, you'll find the 35mm equivalent focal length is approximately 1.5 times the distance physical focal. A normal 50mm lens behaves like a 75mm lens on a 35mm film camera. This is because the digital sensor is smaller than the size 35mm film image. If you already have the lens, the purchase of an adapter can be a good option if you are willing to accept the limitations.
