What are the reasons why the power steering whine when turn on?
I have a Ford Windstar 1999, and complains when to turn, liquids also have always kept topped but the power steering fluid is becoming dark brown. What would be causing this?
If the tank is full, then you need to clean the system and refill with clean fluid. If you're going to do it yourself, disconnect the hose low pressure (the one with the hose clamp) in the reservoir and point in an empty bottle. Plug the nipple in the tank. Have a friend start the car and turn the wheel all the way left and then right again several times while they keep adding fresh fluid. When it starts to come clean, stop the engine, re – to connect the hose and the top of the liquid. Please calm down after a day or two trying to drain then add 8 ounces of Lucas engine oil to the tank.
